When does fingerprint technology not work?
The functioning of biometric solutions depends on people, environmental conditions, and incorrect use.
For example, the exposure of fingers to abrasive surfaces, glue, solvents, and powders are environmental problems that do not allow the correct operation of an installation with fingerprints.
Also, for genetic reasons, it may be difficult to get fingerprints detected: aspects such as fingers that are dry, moist, or previously exposed to aggressive chemicals affect the storage of fingerprints. Some people are born without a fingerprint due to hereditary diseases, such as Adermatoglyphia.
Therefore, we recommend storing not only the fingerprint but also other credentials (PIN, cards, smartphone) to be used in case the fingerprint does not work.
