The security class of an armored door is regulated by the UNI ENV1627 STANDARD. The standard defines the degree of resistance of armored doors by setting 6 levels, determined on the basis of carrying out and passing tests that reproduce break-in attempts by a thief.

CLASS 1 ARMORED DOORS
A class 1 armored door has a very low anti-burglary rating. The door can be configured as a warehouse newel door. The minimum level guarantees resistance to manual attacks such as shoulder thrusts, pushes and kicks.

CLASS 2 ARMORED DOORS

The door equipped with class 2 is able to resist occasional thieves, equipped with common tools such as knives, small pliers or wedges. Its use is suitable as a newel door, offices and industrial buildings.

CLASS 3 ARMORED DOOR

It is a door that guarantees a good level of safety, and to date the most widespread for external access doors: the tests are carried out with a crowbar, screwdriver, punches, hammer and other manual tools. It is a door capable of resisting an attempted break-in by an expert thief.

CLASS 4 ARMORED DOOR

A class 4 armored door is able to resist break-in attempts by expert thieves who, in addition to the tools required for the lower classes, are equipped with hammers, chisels, portable battery-powered drills and axes.
It is recommended for detached houses, villas or apartments with high risk

CLASS 5 ARMORED DOOR

For this door, in addition to the tools used for the previous classes, power tools such as drills, saber saws and angle grinders are used.
It is suitable for banks, jewelers, or to protect confidential documents, embassies, military environments.

CLASS 6 ARMORED DOOR

It is the door that holds the highest level of security. This door is able to resist professional burglars using saber saws and angle grinders with a maximum disc of 230 mm.
It is recommended for watchmakers, nuclear plants, banks, military environments.
